For a period of 5days UKWATA (TSCF) ran a prayer camp in Dodoma at Azimio Secondary School. The camp harboured 120 youths from 11 regions of Tanzania. Meanwhile another camp was running in parallel in Njombe for the purpose of hosting southern regions. These prayer camps for UKWATA are conducted in December of every year.

In the prayer camp at Azimio Secondary School, Dodoma on top of teachings on prayers attendants had an opportunity to fast and pray for the following:

  1. Welfare of UKWATA from branches (at school level) up to national level; and that all activities of UKWATA should flourish be a success through having active branches in all secondary schools
  2. The Christian Council of Tanzania and its members.The council is the mother organization for all UKWATA activities through its members in dioceses. As per CCT Constitution members through their dioceses take care of UKWATA activities and provide guidance and support through patrons appointed by the dioceses
  3. Praying for the Nation especially for civic elections (14/12/2014) together with General Elections of 2015. Also attendants had an opportunity to pray together on referendum for the proposed constitution and other key issues including: National unity and that corrupt leaders may repent

Topics covered include The Role of The Holy Spirit in Prayer, relationship between Prayer and Faith; and also life of a prayer warrior.

The camp was wound up by CCT’s General Secretary Rev. Dr. Leonard Mtaita where he urged the youth to remain prayerful in order to be achieve spiritual victory through temptations. He also urged them to study the Bible for the betterment of their spiritual lives.
