To awake the sleeping giant is not an overnight task. It takes inclusion and commitment of all groups; women and men especially a well trained team of strong Youth Ambassodors.
Eight (8) Youth Ambassodors and two (2) Youth Representatives (5 females and 5 males) met in Dodoma for a two days training from 16-17th April 2021 on reporting suing Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), transparency and accountability as well as the importance of Project Monitoring and Evaluation (PM&E) in project life cycle and reflection of the impact of COVID-19 in overall implementation of SDG.
Waking the Giant (WtG) Youth Ambassadors come from different regions in Tanzania mainland as well as Zanzibar where they inspire implementation of SGDs among youths and the community at large. WtG is supported by ACT Tanzania Forum under supervision of the Christian Council of e (CCT), a host organization.
This training has been of great importance to capacitate Youth Ambassadors to report on their work in the field for a measurable impact, transparency and accountability building on work ethics
In addition to this, the trainees went through online data entry and assessment tools as a means of PM&E. Positive impact of this training is expected from the work and engagement of the youth in implementing UN 2030 Agenda.
