The Christian Council of Tanzania (CCT) entered into grant agreement with Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (Norad), to implementing a project titled ‘Strong Woman’ project number RAF-3065 TAN-18/0007.  The Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation agreed to provide a total of NOK 14,993,000, and the funding agreement was signed for the period from October, 2018 to September, 2021. 

The expected results of the Project are as follows:

Responsive and inclusive engagement of women and girls in political life from grassroots to national levels leading to equal access to justice for all,

and

Women’s economic empowerment and opportunities to participate in the labour market with sustainable access to economic resources.

The following are Outcomes of the project:

1) Women, including women from marginalized groups, are engaged in advanced business activities and labour markets as their male counterparts.

2) Women and girls have increased their financial capitals and have expanded their investments.

3) Women are represented and have active participation in politics.

4) Women’s civil society Organizations have the capacity to influence decision making processes to promote women’s dignity.
